Traffic flow management at IP addresses or ports based on specific network protocols are Network Policies.


In Kubernetes, you don't want everything, like the database or backend, shown to the user. Here, Network Policies Come in. You just need to connect it using certain policies that prevent other pods from getting connected to that particular pod.


Network Polices provide Security and Reliability so it is efficient. Network Security is a port of these Kubernetes policies.
